Tupperware Kidnappers on the Run

Authorities Warn of Container Crime Wave

In an unprecedented string of bizarre thefts, authorities are on the hunt for the so-called "Tupper Nappers," a group of elusive culprits reportedly behind the disappearance of high-quality food storage containers from households across the region.

The mysterious crime spree began several weeks ago, with victims reporting missing Tupperware and similar food storage items shortly after hosting family gatherings, potlucks, or neighborhood barbecues. While initially dismissed as a series of harmless oversights, law enforcement now suspects a calculated operation.

"We're dealing with a highly organized group," brother detectives Lochlan and Rowan McDonald of the Thornwood Container Crimes Task Force stated during a press conference. "They’re targeting homes in a very specific pattern and leaving minimal evidence behind. These aren’t your average petty thieves — they know the value of a good seal."

Witness accounts suggest the perpetrators are adept at blending in, often posing as guests at gatherings or even service providers. Once inside, they zero in on high-quality Tupperware, particularly those with matching lids, stacking them discreetly into inconspicuous totes before slipping away.

One victim, Lori Schubert, shared her frustration: "I hosted a baby shower last month, and the next day, my entire Rubbermaid collection was gone. I didn’t even notice until I went to pack leftovers. It’s infuriating!"

Experts believe the stolen goods are being sold on underground storage container markets, where vintage or premium Tupperware can fetch surprisingly high prices.
